Despite the quick development of the small town during the last few decades, Parikia manages to keep a great part of its island charm and it never ceases to be a town steeped in history. Parikia is a typical Cycladic settlement and has houses in blue and white, small shops, old churches and cobbled paths. For visitors, a large number of restaurants and cafeterias have sprouted up along the waterfront.
As the night falls, it colours nature with the colours of sundown, we are in Naoussa again, ready to explore it. The road along the coast, runs in front of the fish taverns and the marvelous ouzo-places, which offer local specialities, as "gouna" (sun-dried, salty fish, ideal as a snack), roast octopus that smells delicious and seafood.
In the edge of the wharf, stands the small church of Agios Nikolaos, the patron of the seamen. At the end of the road, there is the Venetian little port of Naoussa and we are in front of one of the most fascinating scenes of our vacations.
The boats roped all around the port, absolutely protected from the north wind of the Aegean Sea while their gentle dandling accompanies our evening open view. . n the edge of the port stand the ruins of Naoussa's fort which was built by the family of Somaripa, around 14th- 15th century. However, there are many more sights in Naousa and its suburbs. Among them, many churches and monasteries.
Less than a kilometre away from the beach, is Pisso Livadi, a picturesque resort with many facilities and a very clean sandy beach with trees, where you will enjoy fresh fish. Next to it, the wonderful beach of Logaras, with blue flag, is ideal for swimming, fishing and various water sports.
Visit Lefkes, a beautiful village with traditional architecrure which was the medieval capital of Paros. Returning in Parikia you'll see the monastery of Logomvardas with the castled architecture and the relics of the Early Christian Basilica.
there are two good beaches in Parikia, Krios and Livadia. The Krios beach offers music, food, ice cream and drinks, Beach Volley, and if you like it quiet, just move out of hearing distance. Piperi is the Naoussa's main in-town beach, in a small curve embraced by rocks, about 50 meters beneath the main road that leads into the town centre. One of the Island's most famous beaches on the other side of Naoussa Bay is Kolimbithres with a beautiful view towards Naoussa. nearby the small village Marmara you find Molos and a few other sandy beaches that are hardly visited, even during the high season, probably because they are about 1 or 2 km off the main road. Drios it’s a quiet beach, protected from the wind, here you can find a few taverns with fresh fishes and local wine. There are several beaches in or nearby of Pisso Livadi village.
For traveling from Athens, you need to land in Athens up to 14.00 hrs to catch the usually last ferry per day to Paros around 17.00 hrs
